Dr Fleur-Michelle Coiffait

Fleur-Michelle is a Health and Care Professions’ Council (HCPC) Registered Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical) and Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and the Psychological Society of Ireland. She specialises in neurodivergence, with 18 years of experience of providing assessments and support for autism, ADHD and intellectual disability within the NHS and private practice. Fleur-Michelle is ADOS, ADI-R and ACIA trained and adopts a neuroaffirming approach. She has ADHD herself and is parent to a neurodivergent child.

 

Fleur-Michelle is an Associate Fellow of and Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and the Psychological Society of Ireland. Alongside clinical work, she is an associate lecturer and placement and research supervisor for doctoral courses at local universities, including clinical psychology training programmes.


Fleur-Michelle draws on a number of approaches and models in her work, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Training (ACT), Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and systemic and narrative approaches. She believes in the importance of the relational context and systemic thinking that takes into account each individual’s lived experiences, relationships and broader context when thinking about their strengths, patterns and challenges
